Interop Expo floor is open

Interop, the SJN Sales teams biggest and best annual opportunity to wonder once again, why Las Vegas builds everything HUGE, un-walkable, and without visual directional cues, has officially opened the Expo Floor.

Yes, Interop has awesome sessions, well known key-notes, some pretty good networking parties, and endless opportunities to run into people we’ve been meaning to catch up with. But what Interop attendees buzz about is what’s new on the expo floor. It’s open. We’re checking in with exhibiting SJN clients and then we’ll get to ogle everyone’s booths and offer some SJN reviews of the new, the re-polished, and the very best booth gimmicks. SJN will also be giving our first ever “trade-show bozo” award to the booth staff best living down to our earlier post on trade-show clowns (

Immediate feedback seems to focus on last night’s Interop awards. Complaints, complaints, and reviews, all seem a bit negative. Sure Citrix is doing some pretty cutting edge stuff but the attendees and exhibitors we heard in the hallways and brakfast line seemed less than impressed with the winnners tilt toward the huge, established, and well-known nominees.

Stay tuned. We’ve got our dress Reeboks on, a triple iced cofee waiting for our cleints’ on booth break, and we’ll meet and greet the SJN way, one conversation at a time.
